Declaration by the European Union

and the Associated countries of Central and Eastern Europe,

the Associated countries Cyprus, Malta and Turkey and

the EFTA countries members of

the European Economic Area relating to

the 2000 Review Conference of the Parties to

the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons

 

The Associated countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the Associated countries Cyprus, Malta and Turkey and the EFTA countries members of the European Economic Area, declare that they share the objectives of the Common Position adopted by the Council of the European Union on 13 April 2000 relating to the 2000 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). They will ensure that their national policies conform to that Common Position.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
