This seminar will focus on how public organisations should increasingly update their strategies to meet the new digital trends.

The main objective of the event is, on the basis of concrete feedback from public communicators and from independent specialists (analysts, academics, consultants, bloggers), to share views on the increasing impact of new interactive media on government and institutional communication strategies focusing on the promotion of a more effective interactive, “conversational” government approach.

Contributions will focus on the above issue, including an insight on sociological aspects and challenging views on risks of drifting if public communicators are not used to deal with the new digital trends.

1st panel (9: 15 am - 11am): Managing changes in the online culture and responding to them.
2nd panel (11:15am-13:15pm): The way forward: will integrated e-government strategies make the difference?
