In the Justus Lipsius Council building, the Swedish institute and the Swedish National Public Art Council are displaying contemporary Swedish art and design during the Swedish Presidency. The idea behind displaying modern art and design is to bring out the unique and unpredictable in our time and to create an environment that inspires new ways of thinking and creative discussion. Somewhere among all these impressions, a desire to talk about our common future is awakened. The starting point for Sweden's creations in the Justus Lipsius is to bring a personal voice to the public space, and to create an environment that is both public and private, where the focus is on genuine meetings between people.
