The Euro and economic policy
This publication is a compilation of legal texts and political agreements which have recently been approved by the Council of the European Union or the European Council and which are essential for the implementation of monetary union.
The texts define the legal framework of the euro, set out the Stability and Growth Pact and give orientations for reinforced economic policy cooperation.
The booklet also reproduces some older legal texts which form the basis for, or are closely related to, the new regulations and resolutions.
