Regulation on access
The regulations in force with respect to access to documents are aimed at facilitating transparency. Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 allows access, subject to certain conditions and exceptions, to documents under 30 years old.
Regulation (EC) No 1700/2003 opens the archives to the public subject to restrictions intended to protect confidential information and privacy.
