Compulsory training period as part of a student's studies

Applications

The Council General Secretariat also offers unpaid traineeships to young third, fourth or fifth year students of a higher‑education establishment or university whose programme of studies requires such a period of training to be undertaken.

Selection procedure

During the year the Traineeships Office may consider applications from students of a higher‑education establishment or university that requires them to undertake a traineeship.

The application file for a compulsory traineeship must include:

  • a curriculum vitæ;
  • a letter stating the reasons for the application;
  • a legible copy of a passport or identity card;
  • an official certificate from the education establishment certifying:
    • either that the applicant is required to complete a training course as part of his course of study or for access to a profession
    • or that he is required to do research for a thesis or a doctorate;
  • a copy of the diplomas or official certificates held;
  • copies, where necessary, of attestations of professional experience;
  • proof or a substantiated declaration of knowledge of the languages stated on the application form.

Any other optional document in support of your application for a traineeship - such as references, for example - can be included in your file.

Successful applicants will receive an offer by e-mail stating the period of their traineeship and the department to which they will be assigned. When they have accepted the offer, the Traineeships Office will send them a contract.

You will not be admitted unless you supply the complete file as mentioned above.
