How do I get EU citizenship?
Every person holding the nationality of a member state is a citizen of the Union. EU citizenship is additional to national citizenship of the member states and does not replace it.
Each member state, having due regard to Union law, sets the conditions for acquisition and loss of nationality. The European Union has no jurisdiction in that regard.
